Calissa Cossin

Retreat Coordinator, Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT 200), Certified Suspension Teacher

Calissa was raised in the small town of Clendenin and was in the Roane County High School Class of 2019.

She has always been an active person, participating in numerous sports throughout her adolescent years. Gymnastics and cheerleading were the ones she really enjoyed and stuck with the most. These activities have opened up many doors and opportunities in her life while teaching her many lessons.

Yoga is a form of self expression for her. Following the flow of the movements and my body is similar as going with the flow of day-to-day life. It has also provided an outlet for her  to release stress and tension helping find inner peace. Yoga keeps her strong, healthy and happy. Being centered is a blessing that she plans to keep.

She received her 200 hour yoga teacher training certificate in the Yoga Power School Class of 2023. She is extremely excited and ready for this new chapter of her life!
Meditation is the practice of becoming mindful and noticing thoughts, feelings, and emotions in the body.  Pranayama is the practice of controlling the breath and focusing the mind on the act of breathing.
This 30 minute class combines these two activities to help promote a state of calm and peacefulness in the body.

Dress warmly and with layers and the stillness from this class may lead to being chilly.
